• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby venues, events, and players.
• Camera & Photos: With your permission, we access your camera and photo library solely to let you upload a profile picture or venue photos. We do not store raw camera data beyond your uploaded images.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app (events attended, venues added, etc.) to power our gamification and recommendation features.
• Payment Information: Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• Push Notification Tokens: To send you relevant alerts about events and messages.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To personalize your experience and show relevant venues, events, and players near you.
• To process payments and send transactional emails.
• To send push notifications and in-app alerts (you can opt out at any time).
• To maintain leaderboards, badges, and points that are visible to other users.

4. Camera Permission

Pickup Spot requests access to your device camera only to allow you to take or upload photos for your profile or venue submissions. We do not use the camera for any background surveillance, facial recognition, or any purpose other than photo capture initiated explicitly by you. Camera access can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

5. Location Permission

Location data is used to show you nearby sports venues, active players, and upcoming events. Location is only collected when the app is in use and with your explicit permission. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; some features will be unavailable without it.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Stripe – for payment processing.
• Service providers – who help us operate the platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery).
• Other users – your public profile, sport preferences, and activity are visible to other Pickup Spot users as part of the community features.
• Legal obligations – if required by law or to protect our users' safety.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

8. Child Safety & Protection

The safety and protection of minors is a top priority for Pickup Spot. Our platform is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from children under 13.

Our Commitments

• No CSAM: Pickup Spot has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any such content will be immediately removed and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
• Age Restrictions: Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between 13–17 require parental or guardian consent.
• No Targeted Advertising to Minors: We do not serve targeted advertising to users we know to be under 18.
• Safe Communications: We provide reporting and blocking tools to help users protect themselves from inappropriate contact.
• Content Moderation: User-generated content is subject to moderation. Content that exploits or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

Parental Controls & Reporting

Parents or guardians who believe their child has created an account or that child safety has been violated can contact us at any time to request account removal or report a concern.

Reporting Child Safety Issues

If you encounter any content or behavior on Pickup Spot that you believe endangers a child, please report it immediately using the in-app report feature or by contacting us directly. We take all reports seriously and will act swiftly.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU's GDPR provisions for minors, and all applicable child safety laws and regulations.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
